Engaging Service Users & Clients
 

The two day event will enable you explore techniques for engaging and motivating service users and colleagues, and developing more effective professional relationships.

This is the base theory of Pro Social Modelling.

Target Audience

This course will further enhance the skills of individuals who have responsibility for working with reluctant individuals and or those that struggle with being supervised or monitored. The skills learnt can be applied in the business environment for managing staff or in the justice and social care environment to manage clients.

 

Objectives

By the end of the courses, participants will:

  • Understand and be conversant in barriers that prevent engagement.
  • Be aware of the strategies necessary to engage and motivate difficult individuals.
  • Be given the opportunity to practice the skills learnt in role play scenarios.
  • Be confident in building better and more effective working relationships to maximise engagement.
